Born in Hachijo-jima, Tokyo in 1978. Spent part of his childhood on the Malaysian island of Penang before returning to Japan. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Faculty of Letters at Meiji Gakuin University.

After a debut with the 2004 film “Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi: Onryo Gekijoban” (Scary Yet True Stories: Apparition – The Movie), worked on the 2006 film “Mizuchi” (featuring Haruka Igawa and Atsuro Watanabe), which was released nationwide. Got his feet wet in the video game business by directing in-game video clips for the “Dynasty Warriors series: Koei” And “Dragon’s Dogma” (by Capcom) in 2010 and 2011.
In 2014, directed all episodes of the drama “Maho: Danshi Cherries” (Magic: Boy Cherries), which gained the top spot in Amazon’s Blu-ray/DVD rankings. Published “Kabane” (TO Books), his first novel.
